Yes, the library generally offers proctored testing for online exams. There are times, however, when the computer room is closed for library instruction, maintenance, or other technological issues. Students are encouraged to contact the library about closure dates and times.
Per TVCC testing policy, students are allowed to test with either their current student ID or a photo ID.
Student's must be signed in and seated no later than one hour before closing time. Student's taking long tests should adjust their arrival time accordingly. All LRC's will close at the published times.
During the Fall and Spring semesters the Athens campus library is open on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Library staff will not start a test after 4:00 p.m. Students needing to take a longer test should adjust their arrival time accordingly. The library is not open on holiday weekends or during the summer semesters. Students should contact the library for specific closure dates.
Unfortunately technological issues arise from time to time. It is the student's responsibility to contact their instructor and notify them of the submission error. Library staff will make every reasonable effort to contact the instructor regarding the error; however computer and technology errors are beyond the ability of library staff to control or rectify.
Please contact the specific libraries for testing information.
