Remember that tutoring hours are not always guaranteed. It is important to promote your services in order to keep your schedule full throughout the semester. Below are a few ways you can help promote tutoring services:
- Talk to faculty and let them know you are available to tutor their subject. Ask them to announce the information in their classes.
- Volunteer to perform class visits during the first 3 weeks of class. This is a chance to introduce yourself to students and encourage participation.
- Create fliers to post around campus. Remember to get approval from the Coordinator before posting.
- Volunteer to oversee an information table during registration periods to inform students of tutoring services and tutoring positions.
